How to Set Up Daybetter LED Lights
Setup takes about 10-15 minutes for a standard room. Here's the full process:
Download the Daybetter app
Search "Daybetter" in the iOS App Store or Google Play. The app is free and does not require a paid subscription. Create an account (email signup).
Connect the controller
Plug the LED strip ribbon into the controller box (arrow-to-arrow alignment). Plug the controller into a standard 120V outlet. The controller LED will flash red/blue, indicating pairing mode.
Pair in the app
In the app, tap "+" → "Lighting" → select your device. Choose WiFi pairing (needs your 2.4GHz network password) or Bluetooth for quicker local-only control. WiFi is recommended for Alexa/Google Home.
Clean surface and stick
Wipe the mounting surface with isopropyl alcohol and let dry. Peel the 3M tape backing 6-12 inches at a time and press firmly for 5 seconds per section. Corners: use the included 90° connectors rather than bending the strip.
Link to Alexa or Google Home (optional)
In the Alexa app: Menu → Skills → search "Daybetter" → Enable → link your Daybetter account. The lights appear as smart home devices. "Alexa, set bedroom lights to purple" works immediately.
